English-language BaZi tools are scattered across consultant sites, astrology portals, and apps — with no single standard the way Western astrology has. Rather than rank tools we haven't all used in equal depth, this guide compares the four typesof free calculator you'll find, what each is good for, and how to sanity-check any chart you get.

Many practicing BaZi consultants host a free calculator on their site. The chart math is solid and the surrounding articles often reflect real consulting experience. Trade-off: the calculator exists to funnel you toward a paid reading, interpretation on the page is usually thin, and interfaces vary widely in quality.

General astrology portals bundle a BaZi tool among dozens of other calculators. Convenient if you already use the portal, and genuinely free. Trade-off: BaZi is not the site's specialty — terminology can be inconsistent, and the output is often a bare chart with generic canned text.

Native apps give you saved charts, notifications, and polish. Several treat BaZi and Korean Saju as the shared system they are, which is technically correct and useful. Trade-off: meaningful features tend to sit behind subscriptions, and you can't link or share a web chart.

Open the free BaZi calculator →Yes for the chart itself — BaZi (Chinese) and Saju (Korean) compute the same four pillars from the same calendar. The traditions differ in interpretation style and terminology. If you prefer the Korean framing, use a Saju calculator; the chart will be identical.
Usually one of three reasons: how they handle the solar-term month boundaries, whether they adjust for your birth time zone or solar time, and how they treat the day boundary around midnight and 11 pm. If your birth sits near a year, month, or hour boundary, compare two tools and read up on the boundary rule.
At minimum: all four pillars with both the Chinese characters and translated stem/branch names, your Day Master, and an element count. The better ones add the 10-year luck cycles (dayun/daeun) and don't require an account to see your own chart.
